Giving presentations can be a great marketing tool to build credibility and attract a following. Sure, but what does that mean for you? Learn:
  • How do you know if you're cut out to be a speaker

  • When you should say "yes" to a speaking opportunity

  • What event planners look for in a presenter

Leave with more direction and confidence about whether presenting is the right fit for you and if so, how to go about it. Who knows? Maybe the spotlight is waiting for you!

Devie HagenPresenter: Devie Hagen, Elan Speakers Agency

Devie Hagen started in the hospitality industry back in the 70’s.  She was a meeting planner at Medtronic for 13 years.  When she accepted a position to the United Way as a loaned executive she decided to make the career change and go into hospitality sales.  She spent 22 years at national hotel/resort companies (Hilton Int’l, Benchmark Hospitality, Riverwood Inn & Conference Center, Dolce Int’l, & Madden’s Resort) moving to Vice President/General Manager after consistently exceeding revenue targets.  She is actively involved in numerous associations and has been honored to receive numerous awards for leadership, achievement, mentorship, sales and positive attitude from Dolce, Hilton, MN MPI, Mn Meetings & Events, NCBTA, the Benchmark Bulldog Award and the MN Film Board.

Devie has moved into a new career in hospitality as an agent for speakers & presenters with Elan Speakers Agency seeing a great need to partner with meeting planners ensuring they get that “right fit” for their audience.  Elan means inspirational, vivacious, classic.  She truly believes that partnering and supporting each other is the best success.
